It is a busy time of the year. The grapes are doing great, and we have been working on our winery. Hope to be open soon.

We thought spring was here BUT it seems we have more snow. Oh well, the ice fisherman are out in force on Lake Irene. There must be good fishing out there.

Today is Friday, 20 October 2017, the grapes have all been harvested and are now in the winery in our tanks. It has been a good year, a good crop and no fall or spring frost damage. A very good year. Today they predict a 75 degree day so we look forward to being outside doing our fall chores. Maybe it is even time for my father's 'sit and look at the beauty around us day". ... See more

Today is Tuesday, 10/10/2017, and we survived the first frost with just a little white frost on some of the upper leaves of the vines. There is no damage to our latest maturing grapes.

And it was a bautiful morning with a beautiful fog hanging over Lake Irene and full sunlight. Alll we could hear is the sound of the swans that come back to our shore every fall.
